Χρόνια πολλά, Δ.Α.! You know, this is a song I wished I would have had the initiative to learn 2 years ago when I first heard it. While one learns from his mistakes, it is a it sad to think that I am never going to sing this for you. I think it would have been an awesome birthday gift and that you would have loved it. In any case, I think it is never to late to show the world something to laugh at by showing my first attempt to trying to give a serenade to a camera! I thought it was so funny how I butcher John Legend’s song that I had to put it in the blog. Episode 5 - All of me loves all of you I hope had a great day with the one you love. P.S. the painting behind me... can you guess who it is? If you do, then you also know who the owner of that painting is.

January 6th (2018 Edition)

Σήμερα είναι η μέρα των φώτων: Χρόνια πολλά, Δ.Α., να τα εκατοστήσεις! Χρόνια πολλά! Last year I told you that I wanted to dedicate it to love. While for the most part I made the best I could in accordance to the maximum of my capacities and possibilities, I did fail in crucial points, letting down and hurting people that I love. I have learned from those mistakes and while this year I still have that same (renewed) 2017 resolution, this time I want to add a component of child-like trust (in God). I will dedicate it to love as I am loved... But trusting that whatever may come, God will use the canvas that I am to create a wonderful picture. Today marks a new beginning! The me from 5 years ago told me this: "God has a plan, and that plan's always in motion; making sure that you end up exactly where you're supposed to be, exactly when you're supposed to be. The right place, at the right time."  So, like the Magi, I want to be led by faith to seek God in the m...

Grace - part 1

Χαιρε, Δ.Α.! Today I got from google photos a set of pics from a couple of years ago. They were very nostalgic and they made me think about the Immense Grace I had to be able to live those moments. And that took me, for some reason, to check my previous posts... And I found this one which I never really posted... And which talked about Grace.  So, I decided to make it public. Let’s start with this Bible passage: And coming to her, He said, "Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you." (Lk 1, 28) “Full of grace” (κεχαριτωμένη is the Greek translation) Please take note of this: “FULL OF GRACE” But before I go and talk about the title that God Himself give the mother of our Lord (κεχαριτωμένη), let’s define grace. What’s is grace? Grace is favor, the free and undeserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life.[1] (Cf. Jn 1:12-18; 17:3; Rom 8:14-17; 2 Pet 1:3-4.) Grace i...

One Minute

Καλή Χρονιά, Δ.Α.! Wishing you a happy and healthy new year. How do you usually start your day? What is the first thing you do in the morning? Those were the first few questions that Mgr. Christian Lépine, archbishop of Montreal, started with during his homily today. I thought it was a very interesting homily (like most of Mgr. Lépine talks) that I wanted to put whatever (I remembered) into text to remember it in the future. Today that we are starting a new year, I was expecting a different kind of intro for the homily. I thought: 'Maybe we could be talking about something a bit more important?' But then again, thinking about the first thing we do when we wake up is an important question. And that's where Mgr. Lépine's focus was: The importance of what that first thing we do when we wake up must be... To pray. The first thing. For those of you that might be reading these lines and who already do it: Continue to do it. For those of us that still don't do it...
