Journeys

Image
The other day I was watching a youtube video where a cutscene from a game (Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded) said something that, if paraphrased, can actually be pretty inspiring. Here's what I paraphrased: You are who you are because of all of your journeys so far. They have been preparing you for a great new task that is waiting for you. Remember, there are no coincidences, or accidents, in life, only links (causalities you may even say!) in a much larger chain of events. Thus, think of your current circumstance in life as a door to your next journey that is ready to be opened. Here's the link of the video if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGyvigmtLgc じゃな!

Chastity

Image
Last Saturday, out of the blue, my roommate asked me something like this: "Borbor, What is the point about being a chaste? What do you gain from this?" (or something along those lines) After a couple of minutes, I remembered a quote that John Paul II said regarding chastity (I'll posted in a couple of sentences), and told him that being chaste only make sense as long as I have a supernatural outlook on life. If I believe that there's life after this life. If there is nothing after this, then there's no point in being chaste. After that, I paraphrased John Paul II's words: "The promise of chastity is a matter of keeping my own word to Christ; a duty and proof of my inner maturity; it is the expression of my personal dignity" I believe that by being faithful to that promise, I know that I will find that which I search for, and that which I search for will find me. Hello World!

So! This is just a small repost of my first original post... But translated! ;) For those of you who are familiarized with programming languages, this introduction may snatch a small smile from your faces. In any case, it is not my intention to talk about engineering or computer stuff here but rather to simply be able to say hello to the internet world! Ok, I don't plan to put much in this entry. The message that I wanted to convey is already written down in the title. But I do want to expose the motive of the name of the blog: "Panita Borbor" . Panita , for those of you that don't speak 'ecuadorian-spanish', is the diminutive of the word pana which means friend, comrade, dude. Borbor [pronounced bohr-BOHR], on the other hand, is my last name. ;] So there you have it boys and girls! Yet another blog on the internet! You could even say that it is yet 'another drop in the ocean' ! ¡Hasta la próxima!
